Hey sorry it took so long to respond. It’s a Hamilton beach kettle. It has a lever that you flick down. It stays down while on the “pad” that plugs into the wall. We figure we need to fill the kettle almost everyday so once we put it on the pad we remember to flick the lever down then use the smart plug for control. Helps saves a few minutes in the morning when I’m getting ready and can turn it on from upstairs
