Halo Grain Free Natural Dry Cat Food, Kitten Wild Salmon & Whitefish Recipe, 6-Pound Bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0748F39Y9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_AZUBCbSQJK949 This is a really good kitten food and kittens should be allowed to eat as much food as they want to because they are growing so quickly. As your cat gets older near a year, based on how the cat is doing, you can start limiting the amount of food if needed under vets advice. This kitten food is grain free and made from whole meats. I did a lot of reading and finally decided on this one. My girl will not eat wet food I have bought her very expensive wet food of all types and kinds and she refuses. The argument over wet and dry food mostly centers around wet having extra moisture that cats need because they don’t drink a lot but I’ve got a solution for that below. Also some dry foods are not made from very good ingredients but this food is really good and it is better to have a high-quality dry food than a low-quality wet food. If your cat will eat both, get the best quality you can afford in both. With kittens needing to eat frequently throughout the day it is convenient to have this high-quality dry food available at all times and feed wet food two or three times a day.

I highly recommend a water fountain to encourage water intake. If you can afford it go for ceramic or stainless steel because they stay cleaner. I fostered my girls litter from age 4 weeks and I got them a water fountain very early on. It was so cute they were mesmerized by it and everybody was drinking water all the time because it was so much fun. It is instinctual for a cat to drink from running water because in nature that is the cleanest water and much less likely to have illness causing bacteria.
