I thought they were all $200 and up but Amazon has SR60e for under $100?!?!?!?!?!

If these are as good as the other Grados I’ve heard before – I’ve never owned a pair but have used some – this is the best deal on Earth right now, wow

mind boggling really

Grado SR60 (or 80 if you want a little more bass)

What kind of music does she like? I got my girlfriend a Grado SR325e for her birthday, used in like new condition (with a set of the larger G-Cush pads) they are a pretty great price to performance for headphones you can drive optimally out of a cell phone.

The Grado SR60e is good, I’d recommend you get G-Cush pads as well for comfort.

The Sennheiser Momentum isn’t bad and comes with a lot of color options since you want something feminine.

The Sennheiser HD598 is a great price to performance but isn’t very portable, and is open back.

A little more information may lend more ideas though.

I second the Grados.

You could even start with the SR60e since they are $79 right now. I own the SR80s and like them a lot.

What about the Grado SR-60e and Zalman mic, assuming the mic will clip on to the cable.

I haven’t listened to them, but they are in an extremely competitive segment at the $80 price range.

I just don’t see how they could be better than the Grado SR60e for $80 or a number of other products at the same price.

Just a good set of headphones for around $100 CAD on Amazon?

I’ve owned Grado SR-60s. They’re open backed, so you can hear surroundings better, but others can hear them as well. They’re not the most comfortable, though.

For something small and light, I’ve owned both the Koss PortaPros. I’ve also used the similar Sennheiser PX-100s, but the only ones I’m seeing on Amazon.ca are overpriced. Anyway, good sounding, light headphones for workouts, walks and the like.

I’ve never owned a pair of AKG K240s, but they’ve been ubiquitous in studios for a long time. Well, at least the last time I was in a studio; it’s been a while. Other popular ones are various Sennheisers like the HD280s and Shure SRH440s, but I’m not seeing them at least on Amazon Prime in Canada. If you’d like to look, here they are at Sweetwater in US prices HD280s and SRH440s.

Hopefully there’s something there you like.
