Ichthammol on the acne spots (wipe off after 15-20 minutes), clay facials every few days. I also have good experience with http://www.amazon.com/Glycolic-Acid-Exfoliating-Cleanser-Anti-Aging/dp/B013PU1RQM reducing my acne. If I don’t use it, I have forehead bumps just like yours. When I do use it, I may get 1 or 2 bumps every couple days. The ichthammol and clay that I just started using seem to be helping immensely, though.

I also get shoulder/back breakouts on occasion. A good tea tree oil soap can help with the acne not on your face.

In addition to what’s been mentioned already… (no makeup, clean mask, dental hygiene, Salicylic Acid, retinol serum, niacinamide serum, and vitamin C)…

  1. you may also try a cleanser with glycolic acid. I’ve been having acne trouble due to masks, and so far this cleanser has worked well. This one’s first ingredient is aloe.

https://www.amazon.com/Glycolic-Acid-Exfoliating-Cleanser-Anti-Aging/dp/B013PU1RQM

  1. When you wash your face, take your time, just like you would wash your hands. sing the alphabet song. Let it (salicylic acid especially) sink into your skin.

  2. The Ordinary has some great products that won’t break the bank. I got my boyfriend to add these two products to his routine a few months ago to help with rosacea and pimples, and they’ve worked absolute wonders for him.

4. Whatever you do, and I’m sure you know this, but do not pop those pimples!!!!!

  1. If you like facemasks, definitely multi-mask. One facemask will not be the “right” mask for every area of your face. https://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/skincare-advice/basic-skin-care-tips/when-to-use-face-masks.html I’ve had a good luck with the Generation Clay masks.

  2. Remember that it can take 20 days to really see if a skin care routine is really working. Patience is key!

Thanks for the suggestions!

In regards to the Glycolic acid, just anything will do? Or do you have a certain provider in mind?
I found this
https://www.amazon.com/Glycolic-Acid-Exfoliating-Cleanser-Anti-Aging/dp/B013PU1RQM/ref=sr_1_5_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1508290028&sr=1-5&keywords=Glycolic%2Bacid&th=1

Thanks for the cheaper alternatives too, and how to use which ones when.

Given your suggestions I think for morning i’ll use clinique/neutrogena, and evenings use belif instead of cerave pm. Does that sound okay to you?

Also, when you say use SPF, you mean in addition to everything else?
Found this SPF Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+/PA++++

The issue(s) uneven skin tone pih, sebaceous Filaments in nose (got Stridex since a lot of people recommended it helped them with that, but it hasn’t helped much for me)

Skin type Blemish Prone Skin. Some acne pops up here and there, but it mostly doesn’t stay too long. Main issue is the redness of my skin

Current routine

Body Merry Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser

Stri-dex Pads

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

Alpha Hydrox AHA Enhanced Lotion

Holy Snails Shark Sauce

Radha Beauty Retinol Moisturizer Cream

How long About a month for Paula’s Choice and Shark Sauce, about 3 months for everything else

Anything new Use Dead Sea Mud Mask once a week starting a few weeks ago. Haven’t noticed any changes

Your location Virginia

Mainly wanting to know if my routine is good or not or what can I do to help fade pih. Paula’s Choice and Shark Sauce has helped fade a bit on my forehead, but it hasn’t really on my chin or both sides of my face

It is this stuff
https://www.amazon.com/Glycolic-Acid-Exfoliating-Cleanser-Anti-Aging/dp/B013PU1RQM

I have been using it in the shower as a cleanser about every other day. I’m not much for big elaborate routines, I have 4 kids and sometimes don’t have time to brush my teeth lol I did read the basic routine you guys have here. So just cleansing is best rather than having cleansers with things like salicylic acid?
