This screams late 1990’s to me, and the amount of space the unit provides vs the actual utility it provides is (in a stranger’s opinion) not an ideal ratio. If it were me, I would:
Donate the paper novels to the local library. Treat yourself to a kindle and use that same local library’s e-books capabilities to have access to them forever, or better yet, any new books you want to read. You could also donate them to a women’s shelter or half-way house or retirement home.
Potentially Offer the unit for free to anyone willing to take it apart and take it home themselves within a reasonable time. Or offer to friends/colleagues/students who need it for remote learning. Could also sell it.
If that printer is on your wifi, just move it to any other part of the house. You dont need to look at it from your bed.
In its place, I suggest a Jarvis adjustable electric standing desk in a light color to visually take the whole thing down a notch on the eyes. You can put rolling carts on either side for additional storage.

For vanity purposes, you will LOVE being able to adjust the height of that a lighted mirror via adjusting the desk. OMG it was a whole new world for me!
If you really don’t want a “desk vibe” at all, just go the straight vanity route. I looked at them for about 6 months last year. In my primary bedroom, I did go w a vanity table period. I bought an antique one. But, if I was going for a brand new piece, I might have chosen “The Slaystation.” Lol about the name. Here’s a link. Put something on those walls that makes you feel good to look at. Something that feels serene and “now.” Not this dark imposing thing.
