Sorry for the delay. I actually decided to upgrade and tried like 8 different types from Amazon. This one was the winner. Except you have to flip it upside down so the thicker part is at the top of the seat.
I’m starting to think I just have a defective seat because I can’t imagine anyone feeling comfortable sitting in a chair with the back shaped like this “_)”

Try to do the cobra pose few times whenever possible.

Don’t sit for more than 20-30 minutes. Get up and walk for 5 minutes.

I would advice meeting your friends and boyfriend, but not exerting yourself while you are there. It can exacerbate your pain. I’ve gone for a 1-2 months with friends visiting at home when I’m in bed. It’s still good to chat even if I can’t do things/travel!

If you can’t get a whole new office chair right now, there are some good options on Amazon that will clip onto your current chair. I have a memory foam one that I put on a regular dining room chair and it makes a huge difference. Mine is like this. I’ve also seen some cheaper options recommended like this one.
