French press all the way. Buy a Frieling and it will last you through college years and through your kid’s college years, too.

I’m a big fan of fresh ground beans and a french press. I bought a Frieling Double Wall Stainless Steel French Press (not the mirror finish….) after breaking my loyal and trusty glass Bobum press, and a Zassenhuas hand grinder, and I’ve been very happy with both. I’ve had the grinder for at least 8 years, and use it every day to make coffee at home. At the time it was all I could find and I paid around $80 for it, but these days it seems that there are several other choices at better prices.
