Some punctuation is out of place on that board, makes it very hard to get used to.

I picked up one that folds the opposite way and I like it a lot, despite needing a separate mouse input

I use a Bluetooth keyboard for my phone that lets me type more naturally. I went for 1000+ days before getting it so I was pretty used to just “texting” my entries, but I’m noticing the quality of my writing increase and I flesh out my thoughts more with the keyboard.

I would also advocate for a desktop app that syncs with the phone if any devs are here!

This is the keyboard I use but I’m sure there are other ones that work too.

Over the years I have tried a 5-6? of folding / travel bluetooth keyboards. Most recently I tried a Geyes Folding Keyboard. I have yet to find any that gave a satisfactory typing experience. The best options I have found are basically full size keyboards like Apple magic keyboard, or the lenovo trackpoint keyboard. These days either I just bring my phone recognizing that I won’t do much typing (and use a voice -> text dictation if there is something lengthy I want to “write up”), or I bring a laptop with a sufficiently large keyboard, e.g. I found the One Netbook One Mix Yogi keyboard was just too small.
