thank you, I appreciate this! and I didn’t even think to consider a jack-jack option, woops. I guess I didn’t see it in the photos at first… which makes sense, because I’ve only been looking at the Scarlett 2i2. I see two inputs only on the back of the 4i4, which is what I’m looking for I’m guessing

The typical 5.1 surround-type gaming rig speakers are not ideal for an audio rig. You want studio monitors that don’t color the sound. You want to replicate the sound produced by the modeler exactly.

Get a quality pair of speakers and/or headphones coupled with an audio interface.

You could go cheaper than what I listed, but I think those are the best bang for your buck. That particular interface has midi ports that will accept something like a Behringer FCB1010.

Yes that’s kind of strange. The option to control both volumes separately is definitely desirable. I have a couple analogue mixers a bit above that but not much and you can do this – but of course this isn’t what you want.

Perhaps something like this might interest you more: https://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-Scarlett-Audio-Interface-Tools-dp-B07QSC92NG/dp/B07QSC92NG/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

It’s an audio interface that will take both of your devices and provide you with what you are looking for. On top of that – and this is the great part – you can use it to record into digital audio workstations like Reaper (which in my mind, at something like $70 US) is the deal of the century for a modern DAW. Beware though. Rabbit holes this way lie!

Looks like a focusrite. Maybe not this model but they seem to mostly be red. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QSC92NG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_zMu8FbD9ABK1F

Ooooook… so lots of things to cover here.

From the audio recording side, if it’s purely recording a guitar and/or a mic, I would suggest getting something like a Focusrite 4i4: https://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-SCARLETT-4I4-3RD-GEN-Out-USB-Interface/dp/B07QSC92NG

PC Side, we’re looking at the software you are going to use to record your audio and the games you play. The most intensive game you list is probably Destiny 2, the rest run on potatos.

For a streaming PC it doesn’t really take much, but for the audio side of it you probably just want lots of fast RAM.

So for most of the major parts, I’ll leave this build with you to work on the rest and answer questions. I also have a ~$500 GPU in there, incase you are able to get a 3070.

Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd generation

This is from the new Scarlett series. Scarlett series have much better Amps than the other audio interfaces.
