Sorry I don’t know the specifics but it looks like any other generic 2×2 rack where the gauge of metal is unlisted. I would assume they all have similar specs as the Amazon rack (Fitness Reality 810XLT). I wouldn’t pay more than $150-$200 myself. When you decide to upgrade you won’t have the best resell value (if it’s after COVID). Definitely will get the job done for a starter rack just be warned it might be annoying to offload when you want an upgrade. A lot of people are selling these used “cheaper” racks for more than they are worth.

Was having a really hard time finding a rack in Canada over the last few weeks. Found this one on amazon with good reviews that comes with a bench for $459CAD. Figure I can sell the bench and make up a good chunk of the cost.
Anybody else have the fitness reality 810xlt?

I did the Dick’s 300lb weight set, this squat rack and bench from Amazon (watch it on camelcamelcamel) Fitness Reality 810XLT Super Max Power Cage with The 800 lb Capacity Super Max 1000 Weight Bench Combo https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBOVAIJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_RANaAb1P2QYMD, and the horse stall mat.
Total came to right around $600.

Dude, you waited 40 minutes for a response in homegym.
Those aren’t generally called power cages. they’re called power towers.
This is a power cage: FitnessReality810
The one you’re asking about looks fine, but expensive.

I know it’s a little below the standard for ‘recommended’ racks, but will this suffice? I can’t imagine I’ll be putting more than 3 plates on this. I’m looking to get the one with the bench. I really don’t wanna go above $300 for a rack and bench together. I do 5×5 style workouts, but I’m a small dude and I really don’t need a beefy rack.

Just pulled the trigger on this guy: Fitness Reality 810XLT Super Max Power Cage. Anyone here have one?

$1000 to $1200 is high end. I started mine (power rack + bench + 300lbs weights and barbell) for $350 all new.
Edit: This is the rack I bought (with bench at $275). It goes on sale all the time and it’s great quality:

I bought my full rack for <$300 and it’s held up to two years of regular use now with no issue.
It’s no longer being sold on Amazon but this is the exact one I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBOVAIJ

I was able to get this rack shipped via amazon prime:

I’m kind of dumb, i ordered this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBOVAIJ and just realizing I don’t think it comes with the barbell. Can someone correct me if i’m wrong, and if it doesn’t have one could you recommend a barbell and plates I could buy off amazon for a complete beginner like me.

Hey everyone. I have been using the fitness reality power cage from amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Reality-810XLT-Capacity-Weight/dp/B01NBOVAIJ
It’s worked well but I can’t do my favorite lift inside it: Overhead Press. It clangs into the top part before I get full ROM. I don’t care much about the pull up aspect of it, so I am wondering if it is safe to remove the top connectors? The result would still have 2 bars connecting each side. I’m thinking this will work because they sell a similar product here https://fitnessreality.com/fitness-reality-810xlt-super-max-power-rack/ which is just the rack part .
Yes I know some suggestions will be alternatives to OHP like seated/z press etc or to ohp outside the rack (not possible with my setup). I’m specifically wondering if it would be stable enough to have that top connection off. I believe the pull up bar is optional anyways so it seems like removing the connectors too would be fine since it has the bottom portion + safety bars. I’m never doing more than 500 pounds anyways with it.

To be honest, I failed 3 different times in the first three years: between work and personal life I dropped off the diet/exercise wagon for 6-9 months each year. I started really enjoying the weight lifting last year, and after some significant life changes, I was able to actually make some permanent changes to stay on track. 95% of the muscle gains and about 70% of the weight loss came in the last year and a half or so.
As for that power rack, I bought it off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBOVAIJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought the accessory pack as well for it. It’s been a game changer for bench press and squats, as well as dips and pullups. I’ve only been using it a bit over a month, but I highly recommend it so far. Chinese made, but the welds are decent quality and it’s pretty stable even with a lot of weight.

Well, since safety is a priority, you might have to burn a few bucks to make sure what you are doing IS safe.
I would recommend investing in a squat rack with a bench style seat.
YES it is going to cost you around 300 hundred dollars, but if you have a bar already, then it provides you with everything you need to stay safe.
You have room to adjust any racked weights to your proportions, you have the option to install safeties at lower heights for bench press(something a normal bench set doesnt have on its own), and you can do all this without a jerry-rigged setup.
The set included in This Amazon Rack works for me, so It should fit you no problem
The safeties included have held up to a 300 pd dropped bar from standing height with no problem, and its setup took me 45 minutes.
The only concern I have is its height (ha-ha). The thing’s pullup bar setup is about an inch higher than the product description, so you might have to install it upside down to avoid it gouging your low ceiling. With your height, I dont think it would be an issue if you did that, but I would look into finding space for it.
On a side note, the entire setup is lightweight and easily moved once built. just slide it like a large sled.
So TL;DR A squatrack is relatively cheap and solves just about every safety concern I had when working out. You can bench without a spotter with the safeties installed, you can do the same with squats, and it is much more sturdy than a conventional garage bench press seat. (These are suicide)
Happy lifting, and Im expecting great progress from you!
Be SAFE!
