I have the yes4all ones linked below and use it on the progear rack which is the same as the 810xlt. Can confirm the pins go all the way through.
They’re pretty good for the price. A couple of the welds look poor, but I’m not loading 700 pounds on it so I’m not worried about them failing. I like them much better than the ones that came with my rack (ones like this https://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Reality-2816-Steel-J-Hooks/dp/B07B4Y3WH4) because of the plastic on the vertical part.

Are there any J-hook with a very large “vertical face” that can fit the Fitness Reality 810XLT Cage?
If you think of a J-hook as an L, it is composed of the vertical face | and the horizontal face _. Of course you set the barbell down on the horizontal face. However, when doing bench press/squat, when you set the rack down, it makes sense to aim for the vertical face, and then lower the barbell onto the horizontal face. If you aim too high, you have to roll the barbell over the top of the L and then let it fall with a large bang onto the horizontal face. If you aim too low, you will probably drop the barbell on your skull.
I’m looking for a J-hook with a relatively large vertical face that can fit this cage. 6″ would be acceptable. 12″ would be better.
The normal J-hook that comes with the cage has less than a 0.5 inch vertical “face”. Frankly I’m afraid to use it for bench press.
I then bought another Fitness Reality J-hook here. This one, while having a much larger face (about 4″) and feels much safer to use, still doesn’t have as large a face as I would like. I still have to look over both shoulders, and aim to hit the face, before letting it fall. And I still worry that one day I’m going to miss one side of the barbell and drop it.

I got the same rack a few years ago. Highly suggest the Fitness Reality J hooks for the bar, much better than what it comes with. Personally got 2 sets one for OHP and Squats, and another for bench.

I preordered these a while ago, i think they are supposed to arrive sometime in september. I have been told they work. (i am also trying the strap safeties for the same reason)
fitness reality also makes a set, but they look significantly worse, but if its an issue, you can order them now, and they should hopefully show up in a couple weeks https://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Reality-2816-Steel-J-Hooks/dp/B07B4Y3WH4 and use those until you find better ones

I haven’t seen them in over 2 weeks.
I did manage to get the FR ones, that do have a layer of rubber, so better than nothing.
They are OOS right now, but have seen it in stock at least twice during those 2 weeks.

I’ve bought many pieces of equipment from Walmart and all of them arrived sooner than what they said, the basic hook on fitness reality is not really good and j-hook alone costs $30-40

As opposed to the ones it comes with? If so any 2×2 with 1” holes would be compatible with the rep pr1000 series so that includes
– titan T2 jcups
– fitness reality jcups
– and the yes4all 2×2 variant.
