I currently am using a Corsair K70 with cherry mx blues. I want to get my first “customizable” board, and am thinking of going with TKL size, and sticking with blue switches. I was thinking about a filco majestouch 2 TKL with blue switches. Question 1, would this be a good place to order from, given that I am in Canada? Question 2, is this a good keyboard for me to use for overall feel, customization possiblity, and overall value? If anybody here has one, and would like to give me any input about how you have liked it so far, that would be very helpful. Thanks to any and all that help me in choosing my next mech board 🙂

I say fuck numpads.. rather have dat sweet mouse space. Also Black switches are best all around for gaming/typing/etc in my opinion (I’ve only tried blue/black/brown extensively)

For reliability and quality, you definitely want to get a mechanical keyboard. I don’t know what’s hot nowadays, but I got this 3-4 years ago, and it’s still very solid.

My filco majestouch has been my work horse for nearly 8 years. I’ve recently gotten into the hobby and rebuilt it from the ground up. The mx browns in this full sized keyboard are the side profile keycaps give the keyboard a nice aesthetic. The usb cord is still attached but that didn’t really bother me honestly. For 129.99, you can’t beat it.

So to be clear:
Your Filco board has a backlight, Mac keycaps (included in the box), no need for remapping software, and it’s an 80%?
Sounds perfect
EDIT
this one is the one I found with Cherry MX Blue.
They’re the ones that are super clicks and tactile right?
The other board I was looking at was this one. The only reason I like it more is because I know for certain the Fuction keys will work for my media and volume. Will the Filco do that?
I just don’t like using drivers, they never seem to be consistent or work right. “I like plug-and-play”

Yeah so if you ever get interested in getting new keycaps down the road someday, having non-standard keycap sizes (e.g. 6.5 or 7 vs 6.25 unit spacebars) will end up costing you more money.
I know that in your current situation money isn’t an issue, but we can only hope things go well enough for you that one day playing around with keycap sets is something you get to do. When that day comes, you’ll end up saving money if your keyboard is using a standard layout – trust me.
As for keyboard recommendations, I think the WASD V2 or Code are great boards. Put blues or greens in ’em and you’ll probably have a great time. That is unless you’re willing to put your own board together, in which case there are kits online that produce seriously beautiful results. You could get this case (in whatever color you like) and put this keyboard into it and that would be a genuine beauty.
Or, if you’re into a vintage look and feel, go for a model F

Any of these will be a good choice. All of them have genuine MX Blues, thin bevels, are TKL and are brands known to have good quality products.

It’s not too practical to use at work since it has blue switches.
Plus it’s tenkeyless, and i need a number pad for all the spreadsheeting i do at work.
Also it’s legendless, which is a PITA sometimes when I am looking for certain symbols.
I have a bad habit of eating at my desk at work, so using it there will just ruin it.
Edit :
Specifically, it is this:

With keys replaced with something like these
