I have dry skin too coupled with acne & pigmentation, so I understand the struggle. Dry skin often times needs to be exfoliated for the lotion to sink into the skin, so I would do this.

  1. Scrub. I personally use & love the St. Ives Apricot Scrub I personally have grown used to my skin that I know when I need to use the scrub. Try 2x a week and go up or down from there.
  2. Follow up with a good toner. I personally loved Eau Roma Water from Lush, but I’ve used just straight up rose water, too.
  3. Next up comes the serum. I’ve been buying ones from Amazon that have hyaluronic acid (which is great for hydration). You could search a beauty store near you or Amazon or Target for one that you will love. Brands like L’Oreal have their own serums that you could try. Since I’m not attached to a specific one, I don’t want to recommend any.
  4. I follow this up with my favorite moisturizer. I use Era Organics.

I also am into masking and AT LEAST once a week (typically 2-3x/week), I’ll find time to throw on a mask.

For you, since you have dry skin, I would start with an exfoliating mask, like this one and then follow up with a hydrating mask.

I personally follow this up with a clay mask, but I’m not entirely sure if you need it. If you want to try it out, Freeman Anti-Stress Clay Mask is one of my favorites.

And then I follow it up with a hydrating Korean paper masks. Some of my favorites are Soo Ae Donkey Milk Mask and Tony Moly Seet Masks. You can also find Korean paper masks at stores like Forever21, Charlotte Russe, Target, Walmart, CVS, etc. I’ve been seeing random masks everywhere & trying them out to see which one I like best…

Hopefully this helped. Sorry for the long post.

I would specifically like some skincare recommendations on any serums that would help with my large pores/excess sebum and acne scarring? I’ve tried a standard Vitamin C serum from amazon along with my current skin care routine and i felt like it didn’t do much for me /: Also if there are any other products you guys absolutely love I’m all ears! I’m starting to run out of my toner and I didn’t know cleansers were all that important until I saw this community! 🙂
