That’s true! Though I’d argue that the charging is marginal, especially when both the device and headphones can charge off the same kind of wire. And 5m of charging will give a solid two hours of listening time. Bluetooth also has gotten much less power hungry in the last half-decade.
I have two pairs myself. A 600$ pair of Bowers and Wilkins, and these guys off Amazon that are often on sale for 40$ and I gotta say, I’m 90% as happy with the cheap ones.
The difference in comfort and immersion is indescribable. Wires suck. Tripping over wires sucks. Untangling wires sucks. Stripping the 3.5mm jack over a thousand or so plugs and unplugs sucks.

August ep650 are bluetooth headphones that I use for pretty much any wireless needs. I’ve used them for working out, making long phone calls, and listening to music. They don’t have active noise cancelling, though.
But they are fantastic value for the money. You might not get the best sound out of them (thought there is a wired mode for slight improvement), but that’s not what I bought them for. The company even makes an excellent carrying case for portable travel.

I would prefer about 100 max CAD, which was about 80 USD. I know I won’t get amazing headphones for that price but I don’t have a lot off spare cash right now. Wireless is best because we have a kitten who has a thing about chewing cables and cords haha.
Any idea if these are any good? A lot of the reviews seem very positive about them.

Looking for a pair of over-ear headphones that are comfortable (for long gaming sessions/music, and I have kind of big ears) with a budget of <$60. Right now, I’m looking at the August EP650 which seems to have great reviews. I was thinking of the Audio Technica ATH-M20x, but that doesn’t seem to have a detachable aux cable (was looking to buy a cheap aux cable with a mic for party chat).

I don’t know anything about those specific headphones or what standard of quality you’re used to listening to but personally I bought the August EP650 which aren’t very well known outside Amazon I imagine but it has around a 4.5/5 rating on amazon and I personally own them and love them. Bluetooth quality is amazing, has the option to use a wire cord and good battery life (rechargeable)

Again I haven’t used super high quality headsets and don’t know your standard for quality but for me they’re fantastic and cheap (price not quality).

August EP650 : http://www.amazon.com/August-Bluetooth-Wireless-Stereo-Headphones/dp/B00F54Y6GU
45$, portable, fun, bluetooth aptx, good isolation, decent battery, integrated remote.
Perfect for the subway with the pleb. They’re ugly AF, so no one is gonna steal theses.
Edit for “audiophile”, Senneheiser HD380. Or HD598 for semi-open ones

If you want some that have decent sound quality and are comfy, then these are pretty good, I’ve been using them for a while.
They aren’t exceptional sound quality, but they’re pretty good, especially for the price.

Hey man, try these: August EP650 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo NFC Headphones (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F54Y6GU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_EOOcxb2SECEEN
Sorry for the weird link, but they’re really affordable, wireless, and they sound really good. I’ve had them for 2 years now and they are super super good.

I am no audio specialist, but I am very happy with these. I have not had a lot of luck using the wireless function while near my workstation as I have a lot of interference from my equipment rack beside my desk, but when wired they sound beautiful. I like the fact that I can go wireless when using my laptop on the go, but wired while at my workstation.
·
I’ve got these I use for work. They’ve got decent battery life and pretty good sound for the money. They just have a dumb blinking blue light on the side but other than that they’re pretty solid.
·
I took a risk and went for a less recognized brand, but I love them. They are the August EP650 over-ear headphones. Love the bluetooth feature and the sound quality is great.

(Sorry – don’t know how to shorten this ^ )

I recently did a fair bit of research before changing from wired to Bluetooth Headphones.
I ended up with buying August EP650. Currently @ $53 on Amazon. Here is a trusty review on youtube as the same person reviews a lot of headphones on youtube.
There’s also a pouch/bag that can be bought separately and I highly recommend it.

I listen about 2-3 hours every day. So they have at least 20 hours playback time for me.

lol, thanks.
Apparently the range on the Beats is even better than I thought: http://appleinsider.com/articles/16/09/16/beats-solo3-wireless-headphones-may-have-range-up-to-400-ft-or-more
I would have figured 50ft… but apparently it can go much, much further if there’s nothing blocking the signal. Impressive. My old headphones (these ones) could barely turn a corner before starting to cut out.
And yeah, the battery life is great. I have a Monday-to-Friday office job and I probably listen to music for 7 hours of each 8-hour day. It’s 2:15pm on Tuesday, so let’s say I’ve had these things on for 12 hours this week so far. Battery is currently at 82%.
They were pretty tight on my head when I first got them (Christmas), but a few months later and they’re super comfortable.

Also, do anyone know if the mic will work on my xbox one ? I have a 3.5mm jack controller. I am open to other suggestions in the same price range as well.

gone up in price but still reasonable
I like them. Even in Linux if you plug in the USB it shows up as a proper usb “soundcard”

Recently bought this and I am pleased with it. If you sweat a lot you may need to take it off and wipe it down so it doesn’t slip while you’re lifting.

–s Against Humanity.
-These silly floppy disk drink coasters.
-A portable charger. Super useful.

Hi, looking to purchase a pair of Bluetooth headphones, primarily for the gym but would also likely use at home for long periods of time. I’ve narrowed it down to a few options but am having difficulty evaluating which is the best choice as I’ve not heard of most of the brands. Hoping you guys can tell me which ones are good quality.
The August EP650s are so cheap the deal seems almost too god to be true.
The Jabra REVO was recommended though I’m not really sure what I’d actually be getting for the higher price. Without being able to actually listen and compare the headphones I’m worried I might just be paying for brand name.
The SOL Republic Tracks Air are highly reviewed but I’ve got the same questions about them as the REVO.
My main criteria are comfort, durability, and sound. Isolation is not a huge deal, more isolation is nice but I’ve generally found that most over-the-ear headphones are adequate. I’d prefer little leakage so as to not be inconsiderate to others. I mostly listen to classic rock, but also some pop, classical, jazz, and funk. I’m open to other suggestions in the under $150 dollar range you all might have.
Thanks!

Those all sound reasonable to me. I’m just saying; if you’ve never tried wireless headphones in recent years: do it. Worst case you still find it inconvenient.
I’ve bought these on sale literally six times for about 30$ USD. They’ve since replaced my 350$ wired beyerdynamics. A full charge lasts 12-17 hours. A five minute charge lasts a solid two hours.
Just because you take extra effort to manage your wires does not mean that your wires are not inconvenient. You might not mind it right now, but they are objectively still adding inconvenience. I’d argue that the need to charge is at worst, an equivalent annoyance.

Here you go! I have these and they are amazing!

Can somebody help me out with making these headphones into a headset that works with the Xbox One? I saw these as great budget headphones in general and I was wondering what would be the cheapest way to add a mic. Anybody know any decent aux cables with mic attached to them (like on iPhone headphones)? I don’t care about mic quality as long as it’s good enough for chat without any static and that kind of stuff.

Not earbuds but http://www.amazon.com/August-Bluetooth-Wireless-Stereo-Headphones/dp/B00F54Y6GU?th=0. I was able to pick them up when they were 45$
