I personally cannot overstate the value of at least a split spacebar and couple of programmable layers on a board.
Even just a few more ergonomic uses of the thumb area (you likely already only hit Space with 1 thumb) and CapsLock location let you experiment with customising the virtual layout to your usage, rather than an 1870s typewriter and dictionary, without needing to install anything on the devices you connect the board to.
And adjusting to ANSI vs ISO is trivial IMHO. Just note Windows has US and US International layouts you can alternate as needed to easily access £, etc. Living in just US International is odd (because dead key behaviour) compared to UK Extended.
But then I come from a low profile and curved Microsoft/Logitech board history prior to modern mechanicals, and use lots of uncommon characters when programming, so you may well want different things.
I’ll also point out Keychron have popular options in UK/ISO layout, as well as more in ANSI.
Them and CapsUnlocked, if you can wait for a group buy round.
Lastly, back with any physical layout, fully split or otherwise, if you want a numpad or rotary encoder, there are always dedicated num/macro pad options that can live on your desk and not constantly encroach on mouse space.
