For the keyboard, figure out what size you want (full size, tkl, 75%, 65%, ect)

Then figure whether you want clicky, tactile, or linear switches. Personally, I like linear.

Then look for a keyboard. If I were getting one right now, I’d also want hotswap so that you can replace the switches if you don’t like the feel instead of replacing the entire keyboard.

Completely personal preference. For me, I would want a tkl or 75% keyboard for something a little smaller without sacrificing the arrow keys and function keys.

I’d probably go with an ep84 with gateron yellow switches (red and black are also linear)

But again, it’s all personal preference

$4000 USD is $5000 CAD so that’s the budget I worked with. This parts list is in Canadian dollars, it’s a full white setup including white keyboard, white wireless mouse, cheap white speakers, and a 4k 144Hz monitor.

The CPU is the new 12700KF which is a total beast, great for multitasking (gaming + streaming). I also included a 3080ti, 2tb of SSD storage, a 2tb hard drive for more storage, and 32gb of rgb ram.

All the RGB in the PC is controllable via Corsair iCue and I’ve included 6 RGB fans, not the keyboard and mouse though. I recommend mounting the cooler at the top of the case.

Peripherals are a personal choice but the G305 is a great all-purpose wireless gaming mouse, fits a variety of hand shapes and grip styles, and I like this keyboard because Gateron yellow switches, hotswap and good build quality with RGB. Do your own research and pick ones that you like though

Didn’t include Windows in the budget but you can use it unactivated for free and buy a license later. If you want it in the budget, change the PSU to a Bitfenix Whisper M 850W – it’s $70 cheaper than this Corsair one and still of really good quality, but it’s black, so you don’t get the nice white cabling that this PSU has.

Here’s where to get some of the parts in the list
