The Beats Solo 3 is actually pretty good if you can get it for around $150. The sound is actually its strength, with that very respectable performance let down by Beats’ terrible build quality. You also have to find a good seller, because fake beats are very much a thing.

The M50X are still worth a look. While they might lack the minimalist looks of Beats, they are much more durable, enough to last years if they are not abused. Their biggest flaw as a portable headphone is their comfort, which can be poor, or worse.
