I’ve just had a basic Dx Racer for about 3.5 years now and it’s held up strong. Amazon link to the specific one I’m talking about
I just bought it off of Amazon cause I was being dumb with my money and thought it just looked cool, but turned out to be a great investment. For larger fellows though, they have “XL” models that fit better, since on the seat cushion, you do have some raised edges next to the armrests, that can be uncomfortable since they are actual side molding. If anyone looking is a bit on the heftier side that’s looking into this, I’d definitely look on getting the larger model.

Well, it’s all up to you. Some places like MicroCenter or Frys may have them, if you have those stores nearby so that you can try them out before purchasing. Personally, after spending $300 on my Dx Racer, I can comfortably say that it was worth the investment. I haven’t really babied my chair as much as others, and it’s stood up very well. No major issues with the chair, still has all the functionality, and the seat cushioning is still very firm. I did get the base model, and I figure the more higher end models would do just as well, if not better. Definitely read some other reviews, and make sure you’re getting the chair for your size as well! The sides next to the armrest are a bit unforgiving, so if you’re a heftier person, you might want to look into the XL version. However if you’re on the skinnier to average size, you’d be just fine going with the regular version.
Here’s the amazon link I provided to someone else in the comments of my particular chair that I got. I’ve got a size 34 waist and fit snugly, anything above size 36 I’d look into the XL.
