Out of curiosity, how would the bass me on these HIFIMANs you think? They are on sale here on amazon warehouse for what seems like a pretty good deal.

They are same day shipping. They also sell them on Amazon for $140 if you want 2 day shipping.

I can’t recommend those. I have heard some weird things about them being not entirely minimum phase like most headphones so I have never went after getting them. Looking at a FR she’s they aren’t that bad if that is how they are on each headphone. At least under 3k anyway. Over that they look like a mess but some people might like it. I personally prefer Harman neutral with a couple of alterations.

Hello all,

Completely new to this and really interested in getting a higher quality audio experience. I have been looking at the below combo:

Would this be a good combination? I presume (prob a really stupid question) you just plug the amp into whatever is playing the music and the headphones into the amp?

Are there any bluetooth options similar the above or is that a no no? Just trying to avoid wireas as much as possible.

As for the reccomended questions:

  1. What is your budget? approx 200-300 euro
  2. What are you looking for? I am looking for a good amp/headphone combo that can plug into my record player, or my phone (or any device playing spotify really).
  3. How will you typically be using the gear? Casual listening at home
  4. What gear do you own? None at the moment
  5. Are you willing to buy used? yes.
