Alright so
TKL = tenkeyless, it’s a keyboard without a numpad so there’s more space for the mouse to move freely. If he doesn’t do a lot of data entry it’s definitely worth looking into
I’ve been talking about mechanical keyboards, which are quite different from the standard membrane keyboards you’re used to (in a good way, for most people). The keys feel a lot more, well, mechanical, vs the soft mushy membrane
Tactile (aka brown) and linear (red) are generally preferred over clicky (blue) for gaming. It’s tough to know which he would like but in a very generalized sense, many people prefer tactile over linear for typing (you can feel when the key activates on the way down, whereas linears are smooth until they bottom out). Cherry keys are overrated and overpriced at this point, gateron and several other companies make better and smoother switches
Brands wise, most of the major brands (Corsair, Logitech, Razer, steel, etc) are overpriced and/or not very high quality with the exception of cooler master.
For counter strike and completive games a lighter mouse is generally preferred. Wireless is really nice (pretty much all the aforementioned brands have near zero latency connections now) but it comes down to budget

There are much better options for less than $219, both aesthetically and quality speaking, just so you know. For example the Drevo blademaster te with gateron switches, which is better than cherry, not to mention half the price of the Corsair you posted. Drevo
