You haven’t mentioned your goals. Why the GK64X? That’s a 60%, probably a big shift from what you’re used to. No cursor keys, no home/end/pgup/pgdn. You can get into full-sized or TKL (full sized without the numeric keypad) and still have customization.

And why the Gateron Yellows? You do realize those are linear, right? I get that some love them. Personally, to me, they don’t feel mechanical. (But then again, I’m typing this on an ancient buckling-springs UniComp, so perhaps I’m just hardcore.)

You might want to start with a pre-populated Hot-Swap keyboard such as the Glorious Modular or the Hexgears Impulse, which come fully-built in/near your price range but let you switch out switches.

Alternatively, at the risk of heresy, you could buy a prebuilt 60% with Gateron Yellows cheaper. Much cheaper.
