(I’m on my 3rd keyboard and hoping 3rd time is the charm! Plus, I am loving the keycaps I got on Amazon!) (edit for keyboard link)

I am currently using this keyboard and It works really well. the Key design allows for arrow keys in a 60% platform and multimedia controls using the “FN” button. you can also get a version with a black body instead of white.

You get some onboard pre-set rgb profiles with brightness control, but I’m not sure if you can customize, I haven’t had any reason to so I haven’t dinked around with it. Also really good is that you get a detachable usb-c cable for wired mode (Did I mention it’s bluetooth!) so you can theoretically swap it for a nicer coiled or braided cable down the line

the bad part is that it comes with knockoff cherry switches, but at this price point, that should be expected. Also their is a slight spring ringing when you type in a dead silent space, but when wearing headphones I can never hear it.

I think this is as good as you’re going to get for a mechanical keyboard for around $50, and I can personally say that even though it doesn’t quite stack up, it’s a very good keyboard compared to my $130 corsair with cherry mx blues

I’m looking into building a 60% mechanical keyboard. I found a pre-built and some nice key caps on Amazon but I’m unsure of how reliable Amazon is for these kinds of things. I have had trouble finding other sites for relatively cheap mechanical keyboard parts. What sites are most reliable?

Along with that, where would one buy lube for switches?
