I’ve been debating my first espresso machine for a while now.
The Tecnora Epic initially seemed promising but after spending time on this subreddit I’ve come to realize it isn’t highly recommended.
I was also considering a Delonghi specifically this one .
After seeing your post I checked out ID gourmets website and found an alternate variant which is the Gran Gaggia Prestige. Was hoping for your 2 cents on whether the Gran Gaggia Prestige is a good model and if there’s a substantial difference between the Prestige and new classic to justify the 15k difference in cost.

I use my espresso machine min twice a day, 100% worth the investment as far as I’m concerned. I love aeropress coffee, and I really like the moka pot, but the streamed / stretched milk from the steam wand on an espresso machine is a game changer.
I’m on my third espresso machine, but this is the only one I’ve really loved. The first one was cheap and second hand and was a bit rubbish, the second made great coffee but the steam wand was weak and you had to wait for it to reheat and was a faff.
I did a lot of research for number three and I would say this is definitely worth increasing your budget to £180 for.
My previous one was a Which? Best Buy and my new one is head and shoulders better.
