They are ok, they are a pain to take apart for cleaning and they solder a plate to the board so you cant really get in the PCB to clean it.
The logo and letters on my keyboard started to fall apart, but I never had a real problem with it otherwise.
I wouldn’t buy one ever again, especially after owning this.

If 16K is the keyboard budget then it should only be a Das Keyboard Ultimate. That’s the only keyboard that justifies that price!
Though it’d set you back by 18K now.

At home, I use the DAS Keyboard Ultimate with Cherry MX Brown key switches (the model shown here with the media controls and no printing on the key caps): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JJPZWXC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
At work I use a Leopold 105-key with Cherry MX Blue key switches and no printing on the key caps. That one is harder to find and might get replaced by a DAS at some point but has been a great workhorse for about three years now.
I am a Mac user and I find the media controls on the DAS to be virtually indispensable. At work, I use a few key shortcuts that I created using the Alfred program and the volume buttons on my Bose Bluetooth headphones. The keyboard controls are much more convenient for that, plus it has USB 3 ports on it as well.

The problem is that I live in Argentina. Building my own or buying a DasKeyboard (love them) costs 3 times a g710 for example. The g710 is around 150 USD, the k70 rgb is around 220 USD in Argentina. The Das Keyboard 4 Professional in Amazon is 162 USD. Here in Argentina it costs 380 USD, not kidding.
If I go for one, I’ll go for Logitech due to the warranty I have (5 years if I’m not wrong)

The keyboard OP has is a Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate . It’s a mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches and is pretty pricey but incredibly nice. I have the Professional with Cherry MX Blues and I fucking love it.

After using my Model M for years and years, I just bought a [Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate[(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JJPZWXC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I’d wanted something a little quieter, because the Model M is loud and I sometimes need to type on conference calls and grown tired of muting/unmuting whenever I need to type or speak. Because I ordered it through Amazon (I’m a sucker for 2-day delivery), the only option with the Cherry MX Brown switches included blank keycaps. I thought “oh, that’ll be fine, I type without looking all the time”. I realized the error of my hubris the first time I tried to type a password at night with the lights off. Whoops.
So I bought a replacement keycap set. Specifically, I bought this YMDK Carbon set. As I was removing the keys, I found that some of the larger keys use (what I think are, after reading the wiki) coster/filco style wire stabilizers. The keycap set I bought doesn’t have tabs for the wire to connect to. The spacebar has connections that mate correctly with the cherry stabilizers, but some of the medium sized keys would only be held in place by the stem connection in the middle of the key.
If I go ahead and install these caps anyway, how bad would that be? Am I going to risk damaging any of the switches, or would it just result in slightly wobblier key action?
