Pc should work as fine connected to the projector as an Xbox would. Same delay as it sup to the projector itself, not the source. An Xbox or a 3080 will both output 4k, a 3080 will do it smoother. Just make sure the Hdmi cable you use is the correct gen to support it. I think Hdmi 2.1 is what you want, look it up.

For peripherals, besides a controller you can consider a lapboard like [this one] (https://www.amazon.ca/Corsair-CH-9515031-NA-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B078233TKB/]. Doesn’t have to be this exact one, others exist.

what do you use? I’ve looked into some of the solutions in the past but have never been able to decide on one that seems adequate but also affordable

I just use a Logitech KB400+ for my browsing and stick to controllers for gaming

I got the combo deal with a Corsair K63 wireless backlit keyboard and lapboard from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078233TKB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_mgXNNGmqCey8i
.

For a mouse I got the Logitech G602 wiress mouse. I like the mouse for the programmable dpi which is helping me in ME2. The mouse pointer travels at near light speed in that game unless I turn dpi all the way down.

Yup, I needed to take my gaming rig out of my home office as it felt like being at work while gaming and was killing my joy. I love my job don’t get me wrong but being in work mode while trying to relax isn’t it.

Put my rig in the living room with a couch keyboard / mouse has been a great choice! Using WiFi killed my DL speed and online games aren’t the same but I only play those with my 17 year old son when he asks and I suck compared to him and his friends either way so I’m just really there for comic relief and I enjoy that just as much.

This is what I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078233TKB/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_N7g5Db20597V2

An investment that may be worth while if this person is bed ridden and likes PC games is a lapboard.

I just chose the first choice on Amazon but there are plenty others and I’m sure someone from the PC Gaming subreddit could give better feedback.

I’m still checking into it. Haven’t gotten it yet, but I am thinking of the Corsair one that has a TKL keyboard and is Bluetooth.

Something like the Corsair K63 Lapboard might be what you’re looking for, as well as the Razer Turret. They are a bit expensive, though.

That’s the problem I’m running into. There aren’t many options in this space. The only other on I’m looking at is the Corsair K63 lapboard. https://smile.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Lapboard/dp/B078233TKB/

I use this and it changed my gaming experience on the couch.
Although you would still need a wireless mouse

Let me introduce to you, the lapboard. Works like a keyboard, but it sits on your lap when you sit on your couch.
