I got some razor one designed for Xbox and it’s not great, the mouse pad area is minuscule, way too small for gaming really.
Other than that, wireless everything! I’ve never found software, other than steam’s big picture mode very necessary/helpful.

That really sucks. this thing would be perfect as a cheap couch board, being that its purpose built for that specific keyboard. But of course the cheap board is cheap.

Not inherently but it’s pretty easy to get controller config in most games like DS4 and the one xbox software that I can’t ever remember the name of.
It’s absolute dog shit because it’s just emulating a mouse’s movements but it “works”.
I used to do this on a significant amount of games on the big screen using a Steam Link and still be able to rock my kids to sleep. For games where it was just impossible to play I just used something like this.

I use the Corsair K63+lapboard combo, pair that with a wireless mouse of your choice and it’s a super comfy setup.

If all you want to do is launch games and then play with a control pad then you could use something like this.
Basically just use your phone/tablet to control the PC to launch stuff and then switch to the control pad to play.
If you want to use a KB and Mouse then you’ll need wireless and something to put on your lap. If you want to save money a board of any kind that’s suitable size will do, cheaper than something like a lapdog (but obviously not as good). I use a wired Corsair K63 but the wireless version has a dedicated lapboard.
