Is the MasterKeys Pro S mail and rebates still available? I just checked on it and it says that I would have to buy it before the 17 of this month. So why is it still showing on amazon?
·
Sorry, it’s a local retailer here in Romania, they don’t have a site (yet) as they’re fairly new but the keyboard in question is the Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S and the price is more or less the same as on Amazon.
·
Seems like there is a sale on Amazon atm for the newer Masterkeys Pro S RGB just under your budget.
·
Why would you need NOS when you can buy a brand new one right now from Amazon?
You might be thinking of the Novatouch or Quickfire, which are out of production and only available second hand. The MasterKeys is the current lineup, and it’s seen a significant price drop in some places since I bought mine a few months ago.
GL with the Norbauer though.

You can buy it on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterKeys-Mechanical-TenKeyless/dp/B01D8ETGJ0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1516547700&sr=8-4&keywords=coolermaster+masterkeys+pro+s
It has $40 shipping and import fees, but with current exchange rate still a pretty good price. When amazon handles the importing you won’t have to pay any customs fee. Pretty fast shipping too.

What would make this keyboard better than let’s say Masterkeys Pro S ?
Edit: I tried out the blacks once and I hated them. I am pretty sure I tried the reds as well but don’t remember how they felt. I really like clicky switches and after three years of using razer greens I am not bothered by the sound that much. I really like the browns too.
·
Had some trouble finding a retailer but, is this the Masterkeys Pro S RGB basically the same? I can’t find anyone selling the Pro S White but I do like the size/look/price for the RGB.
·
If you don’t need the numpad buy this keyboard in size: RGB Small
If you do need numpad buy it in size: RGB Large
The switches:
If you want a smooth press every time you push the key down: MX Reds
If you want some resistance to let you know when you’ve pressed the key hard enough: MX Browns (Very useful for learning to touch type correctly)
·
I’d say just return that and go for a MasterKeys Pro S which is the updated version of their Quickfire line, which has RGB backlighting and also costs less.
·
Browns. I was going to get blues but I decided to get browns at the last minute because of noise.
Amazon has some new open-box models for around $80.

Not counting sales these get my vote:
·
Then I’d probably narrow it down to a keyboard that’s TKL, has RGB, and is loud, so you want clicky switches?
Then I’d go with the Ducky One RGB, MasterKeys Pro S, or GMMK TKL.
·
MasterKeys Pro S, would recommend the iKBC F87 but it seems to be out of stock.
·
Probably Akihabara or maybe Kakaku or Amazon would be your best bet.
You don’t say what your price range is or what kind of keyboard you’re looking for. Something like this, fairly similar to what I brought over from the US, is about the same price you would spend on US Amazon

Masterkeys Pro S RGB w/ MX Browns or Reds. I know you said that you didn’t want RGB, but it’s always nice to have the option and you can just set them to white. They are only $100. Another option is the Masterkeys Pro M White which you can find on Amazon or on Massdrop right now.
·
Comparison off three TKL keyboards. Which one would you choose?
1) Ducky One TKL RGB (Double Shot ABS Keycaps, detachable non braided cable)
2) Mastekeys Pro S (Better LED’s and lighting overall, ABS keycaps which I’m gonna replace anyway, [If it gets choosen], detachable braided cable)
3) iKBC F87 RGB (Double Shot PBT Keycaps , non detachable braided cable)
Thank you for you help.

Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S RGB / MX Blue – CAD$170
https://www.amazon.ca/MasterKeys-Mechanical-Keyboard-Intelligent-Switches/dp/B01D8ETGJ0/
You’re getting screwed by the exchange rate, sadly. Same board here in the U.S. is $115 American.
·
Have had K70 with Reds for a year looking for another RGB board with brown or blue switches. Reds just don’t give me that satisfying click when i have to type essays for school.
Great for gaming though. Also would like it to be 80% or without number pad as another drawback with the K70 is it takes it up a lot of space

Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S.

·
Depends on how small you want to go.
Assuming you want RGB,
For TKL there’s the MasterKeys Pro S and Ducky One RGB
For 65% there’s the VR68M
For 60% there’s the Pok3r RGB
·
I’d recommend a FC750R or VA87M.
If you want RGB then Ducky One RGB or MasterKeys Pro S.
·
MasterKeys Pro S as well as the Ducky One RGB(on preorder)
·
You can buy the MasterKeys Pro S or preorder the Ducky One RGB.
If you don’t mind fullsize, there’s the MasterKeys Pro L, Ducky Shine 5 or you can currently preorder the limited edition Ducky YOTM.
·
Do you want a numpad?
For 60%, Pok3r Blue LED or Pok3r RGB
For TKL, Ducky One is probably the cheapest option, followed by RGB boards, like a MasterKeys Pro S, Ducky One RGB(currently out of stock)
For Full-size, Quickfire XTi, Ducky One. For RGB, Ducky Shine 5 or MasterKeys Pro L
