This one is a used one that’s decently priced. You won’t find many options under $90.

You could always just get some standard dell keyboard too, whichever one suits your needs. They still default to the rubber domes, usually, but some have scissor switches (“chiclet” style flat keys that are more prone to breaking over time).

You won’t find any good keyboards on pcpartpicker. Just avoid Corsair, Razer, and Logitech and you’ll be fine. There’s a laundry list of reasons you should avoid those brands and I can explain them if you’d like, but mainly because they’re just terrible for the price.

Anyway you can find Leopold and Ducky on mechanicalkryboards.com, and the Coolermaster is on Amazon

> Is this a good price for a decent full sized mechanical keyboard with brown switches?

If you don’t care about the RGB then not really. This model was recently $80: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072C516B9/

I’m looking to buy one of the following keyboards, but not sure which one to get. All prices are Canadian dollars, so don’t be alarmed if they seem high 🙂

1) $105.92 Ducky One Double Shot Blue LED Backlit – http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=34811142128

2) $120.99 Cooler Master MasterKeys L PBT – https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072C516B9/

3) $119.99 MasterKeys Pro L Mechanical Keyboard with Intelligent White LED – https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01ITE93OM/

  • The Ducky One is Double Shot. Which is better in your opinion – PBT or Double Shot?
  • Is Ducky One a better brand than CM Masterkeys? Answer may seem obvious but I don’t want to assume anything.
  • The PBT Masterkeys will arrive the fastest, but has no backlighting and costs more than the Ducky One – is PBT worth the $15 price increase over double shot?
  • The 3rd option is a backlit Masterkeys Pro but no PBT and will take the longest to arrive.

I missed out on buying a $164.99 Ducky Shine 6 PBT Double Shot Black Keycaps RGB LED – would that have been the best one to buy? Price higher than the others was the only limiting factor.

Just throwing these Keyboards into the mix as well, you’ll probably immediately disregard them but included them just in case:

4) $109.99 Corsair Strafe Red LED – https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX58570

5) $99.95 Logitech G610 Orion Backlit – https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01CDYB8F6/

Coolermaster Masterkeys PBT L, or an even better option with higher build quality, nicer keycaps, and about $25 cheaper, the iKBC KD108

Logitech doesn’t make good keyboards at all, and you will never be able to replace the keycaps on either of those if you ever want/need to for any reason.

i would definitely recommend a masterkeys board, not sure if you know the different type of switches but this one uses brown switches which are tactile and dont click. the next option is the red switches which are similar to browns but they dont have the tactile bump when pressed — https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JBFJ1Q/ref=twister_B078H5LSKF?th=1

there are tenkeyless options as well which cost slightly less than those, good luck 🙂
