I have one of these at my desk and one in my car. It has helped so much with lower back pain. I can tell the difference on days I don’t use it.

But yeah I’m becoming aware of just how anxious of a person I actually Am lol. Learning to heal though. Just takes a lot of effort and time.

You could consider adding a cushion to your seat. If you’re stuck on the idea of the extension, then raising your sitting height sounds like the easiest option.

If your butt hurts from too much Hannah C Barre classes or from being on the bike for too long on PZE rides, or if you just want your butt to feel nice, I’m OBSESSED with my memory foam seat cushion. I’m sitting on it right now as I type this. The nature of my job has me sitting SO much that this is a worthy and not too expensive investment in my ass. Do your ass a favor and try this.

I find the cutout for the tailbone in the back to be key for lasting comfort. I’ve tried so many in the past and the comfort level always dropped after many hours.

I’m sure there are others that would work, the tailbone cutout is the important part. The memory foam/gel combo is comfortable, too. Make sure you take some breaks, 10 hours is a long stretch even if you’re in perfect health.

I have a basic office chair ($100 chair) but I got this chair cushion and it’s amazing and comfy and helps support your butt and sacrum.
Also extra phone cords (long ones) to charge stuff.

Have you tried a very gentle yin yoga? I have a little electric fireplace in my room and am able to stretch in front of it when I’m sore but lacking energy. It feels very comforting and I listen to my body (won’t do stretches that don’t feel right). We also have a reclining chair with heating pad and seat cushion. orthopedic seat cushion

I have tried “gaming” chairs and “deck” chairs and I really despise them all. They don’t stay still because of the wheels and swively bits. I much prefer a plain wooden dining chair with a Coccyx Cushion on it.

Honestly, this seat cushion saved my back during bar prep. That, and, resisting the urge to spend too much time on the couch or bed. Good luck!!

They seem very happy with them, and at $90, they’re much cheaper than the ~$500 mentioned below. The whole seat slides vertically, it doesn’t just pivot with springs at the back (like mine), so it’s more effective at absorbing the hits.
Someone else added a ~$30 foam pad on the seat, he’s been happy with it. It’s certain cheap and simple (no installation).
