If you need to move your computer frequently, but want to game, that’s what gaming laptop are good at.

If you want to keep someone from casually walking off with it you lock it to something with a kensington cable.

Though even with this, with shipping costs, might be easiest to simply order a new desk at your destination and throw out (I mean donate) the previous one.

[Desk amazon] Takes a minutes to set up. O have two of them

Hello everyone! In a week and a half or so I will be moving into a new bedroom in Brooklyn and really want to try to make this an enjoyable space! I love the exposed brick and hardwood floors in the space, and my bedroom has a cool view out to Manhattan!

The only piece of furniture I currently own is a desk from amazon which currently has an Ultrawide 32 in monitor on it. I am looking to keep my budget on the lower side (sub $500). I apologize If my measurements are a little butchered, this is my first time really putting an effort into designing my apartment before moving in.

Here are the dimensions (for those who don’t want to link click its 11’6″ by 7’3″ and the closet is a square that takes up 33” of wall space on the side of the room.

I recently bought a cheap fold out desk off of Amazon.

I didn’t read the description as closely as I should have, and as you might be able to see, the top has little grooves, which while making it fine for my laptop, make writing on sheets of paper an impossibility. Notebooks do work, but for the work that I’m trying to do on it, sheets are better. Based on what it looks like, and on your collective experience, is there some particular, and relatively cheap, pad or product that you would recommend for putting papers on to write solidly? Glass, wood, leather or some other substance? Any help would be hot. Thanks.

Not the most spacious but partly my fault for having two TVs on it. Again, better than the two folding tables I was using before.

The tops are pretty plasticy feeling which normally isn’t a plus in furniture but it’s perfect for wiping off soil and water!
