If you’re going down that route

then may I suggest getting an astringent or witch hazel, buy an empty travel size bottle usually in the feminine hygiene/toothpaste aisle of many stores, and also this acne-friendly lotion. If nothing else, it may b worth a shot.

Edit-the lotion has a twist lock dispenser, and make sure your travel bottle has a tight seal, plus also consider keeping your cotton balls in a small sandwich baggy to keep clean.

Could be the change in your moisturizer that just now caught up to you. Sometimes things will show you they won’t work, other times they will be fine then turn their back on you overnight. Maybe try something else? I use clean and clear and have for years, swearing it was better than anything else. I dont know if that claim is true, but it works really well for me. That or cerve is very popular among the people here and they have quite a few different lotions.

Or it could be the weather. I don’t know where you live, but if it’s anywhere in the western states, everything is on fire over here. I know many people who are having skin issues and bad allergies from all the smoke and stuff in the air. There has been a pollution advisory out for a few days and that could play into your troubles. I would do either a face mask or something really moisturizing for your skin and give it a little time. If you start to flake I would be quick to find a moisturizer that is heavier to help your skin come back to life.
