I can recommend this keyboard. It is mechanical and costs about 80$.

> G80 (holy shit are these expensive in the US!)
Wow, that got to be the only mech that’s cheaper in europe.

Nope! MX. Red Switches. Low profile keycaps and it’s inset slightly deeper so it has the look and travel similar to a chiclet-style keyboard, but the tactile feel and sound of a mechanical.
Here it is, not bad for $90.
As I continue to use it I may post a more in-depth review. So far it’s really nice.

I’m debating between two keyboards, Cherry G80etc and Ducky Zero. I’m drawn to these two keyboards because they’re no-frills and gimmick free, but do have dedicated volume keys – precisely what I’m looking for. Can anyone attest to the build quality of either? For what it’s worth, the cherry looks as though it has less travel distance and I’m used to the (discontinued) Sidewinder X4, so that transition may be easier.

Two questions, hope that’s okay.
1) I bought a poseidon and I love it. First ever mechanical after four busted rubber dome boards (work). Can I swap out the switches at a later date? Can I swap keys with new stuff?
2) thinking of buying another for home. Prefer to have ten key boards. I found a cherry I like and a noppoo lolita I like. Is the noppoo okay for the price or should I spring for the cherry?

For gaming, you will most likely want Cherry MX Red switches.
I believe there is a SteelSeries 6Gv2 used in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHTO5PxCr98
Also, this might be in the profile you want: http://www.amazon.com/Cherry-G80-3850LYBEU-2-Professional-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B00H4IKUAG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1434030405&sr=1-1&keywords=cherry+keyboard

You are better off asking or searching in /r/mechanicalkeyboards
There is this one made by Cherry with MX Reds: http://www.amazon.com/MX-Board-G80-3850-Keyboard-Layout-Lasered/dp/B00H4IKUAG
Probably some others out there…
