Here is one that’s stainless steel with a glass lid, I recommend it.

I’ve used it for steaming broccoli, carrots, asparagus, bowls of rice, and even “hard-boiled” eggs. And all of the parts can go into a dishwasher.

I recommend one of these.

As long as you have a stove to put it on, it won’t fail. Put plenty of water in the bottom and bring it to a boil. Put a bowl in the steamer basket with equal amounts of rice and water, and put the lid on. Turn the heat down to medium-high and let simmer for 50 minutes. Perfect rice every time, and you don’t need to supervise it.
