Okay so I took your advice, as well as that of /u/canadianskincare and /u/almightyblah, can you please let me know if I missed anything and whether this looks good or not? Hopefully it looks better…and once again, thanks! 😊

Can you please help me with my routine because it’s really hard to find a guy who cares about his skin helping. My routine looks like this:

> MORNING
>
> – Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
> – Aloe Vera
> – Neutrogena Oil Free Face Moisturizer with SPF 30
>
> NIGHT
>
> – Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
> – Aloe Vera
> – Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

I have a few questions my friend:

1) Does this look okay to you?

2) I feel like your routine is better but I’m not sure where to add some of the stuff you have… For example, should I use TO Niacinamide or TO 12% Vitamin C BEFORE my cleanser? In your case I notice you don’t use a cleanser in the morning.

3) Should I replace the Aloe Vera at night with TO 2% Retinoid Emulsion? Or should I use it after?

4) When you do TO 30% AHA 2% BHA once a week, does it change your nightly routine at all?

5) If you do your morning routine, workout at 6pm (and are sweaty), what do you do to clean your face?

6) Last question, what’s your shaving routine like? I shave once a week using a trimmer (it’s called a OneBlade), the only thing I do differently after shaving is I apply Cleanser > Aloe Vera > Thayers Natural Remedies Alcohol Free Toner > Moisturizer.

Last question for you (as well as /u/BlueHybrid138 and /u/canadianskincare ), so seeing as though I probably shouldn’t be using an SPF moisturizer at night, how does this look? For the record I’m late 20’s male and no acne, more dry than oily skin.

1) Updated routine thoughts (Put in /u/canadianskincare’s recommendation below)

MORNING

NIGHT

2) The way I apply it based on googling is wash face with cold water, then put cleanser on, then wash off after about 10 seconds. Then apply aloe vera, leave it. Wait a few minutes, then apply the moisturizer (I’m using a moisturizer + SPF combo for ease of use).

3) I’m a male and I shave once a week using a trimmer (it’s called a OneBlade), the only thing I do differently after shaving is I apply Cleanser > Aloe Vera > Thayers Natural Remedies Alcohol Free Toner > Moisturizer.

4) I exercise 2x a day (yay for working from home), so let’s say I wake up at 8am, do my full morning routine. If at noon I go and run on my treadmill for an hour and sweat, do I apply the morning routine all over again? What about if I exercise at the gym at 6pm?

That’s it, thank you so much!!!
