I would try a moisturizer with sunscreen in it! I think cerave has one that has spf, and it’s pretty cheap. And it’s a two in one which is one less step to remember! Most importantly choose one without fragrance and dye! Here’s the link:

My CereVe moisturizer is also a sunscreen or is that not right?

Maybe I will just try the Stridex now and pair it with my OCM. Would trying out maybe like.. stridex before getting in the shower, then using my CereVe cleanser in shower, then my moisurizer/sunscreen after shower in the mornings and use OCM at night be a good starting point? Or is that too much stuff happening at once on my face in the AM?

I’m far from an expert, and I’m sure the SA pros will tell you it’s better use separate products but I like this one: http://www.amazon.com/CeraVe-Moisturizing-Facial-Lotion-Ounce/dp/B003WN1ELQ

I do use real sunscreen if I’m spending a lot of time sweating in the sun.

Hi,

Some questions before I order a new routine (which will be patch tested and added one at a time ofc 🙂 ).

I have somewhat dry skin with a few instances of acne showing up from time to time, I also have some PIH.

My idea of routine is to:
in the evening/night before bed:
Shower, cleanse with cerave hydrating cleanser,
Paulas choice AHA 8% gel (to exfoliate and get rid of PIH),
Moisturise with cerave in the tub.

In the morning:
Cerave sunscreen (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cerave-Time-Facial-Moisturizing-Lotion/dp/B003WN1ELQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425218094&sr=8-1&keywords=cerave+sunscreen)

I prefer to shower once a day and doing that shower in the evening, so thats why I wanted the routine in the evening.

So some questions about this:
Will the hydrating cleanser be enough to cleanse the sunscreen?
What is the difference of cerave sunscreen labeled AM and PM? Do I need both?
Overall does this sound like a legit routine to you? Anything I should think about or add?

Thank you very much!
Thank you!

CeraVe lotion with SPF 30 really recommended from /r/SkincareAddiction.

For Drugstore finds, CeraVe AM Lotion SPF 30 is a great find. It can be a little thick and therefore sometimes more tricky to spread than the softer Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 30 which I also used for a while but do not see mentioned here a lot.

Sure, though it’s a little wonky at the moment. If you subscribe to /r/skincareaddiction, it should look familiar.

I typically use CeraVe Moisturizer AM and Biore Aqua Rich for SPF (which is super important, and it goes on great under makeup.)

In the evening, I remove my makeup with Garnier Makeup Removing Lotion and wash my face with Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Cleanser using a konjac sponge to exfoliate all my dead skin. I’ll finish it by moisturizing, usually with CeraVe PM.

That said, and I know this is against skincareaddiction’s patch test advice, but every few days I’ve been trying different types of moisturizer or other skincare samples I have lying around. I highly recommend Sephora’s sleeping masks in pearl and rose, as well as fresh’s black tea mask and seaberry oil or their Lotus Face Cream. A sample for glamglow’s supermud was AMAZING, but it’s really expensive so I’m looking for similar products now.

I think that’s everything I’ve tried in the last month. Again, I don’t necessarily recommend going crazy with tons of different face products, but my skin seemed to respond better when I broke routine. I got dry in the first place by doing too much treatment in terms of AHA and BHA’s and BP for acne, so I stopped all of them and focused on hydration instead. I think it’s a lot harder to overdose on moisturizers! They’ve helped immensely. I hope this helped you!

Mhm okay, so they’re possible options. I’ll check out cosDNA and EWG – they sounds useful.

I think I checked the UK SCA subreddit out once though not entirely sure, the Nordic one is pretty inactive 🙁

I noticed CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM SPF 30 is listed under moisturiser recommendations, shouldn’t it also do fine as a sunscreen?

If I’m buying from Amazon either way, I guess I could get The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as moisturiser :^ )

Edit:

Other than price, any noteworthy difference between

Acne.org’s 2.5% benzoyl peroxide

and

Paula’s Choice Clear Regular Strength Acne Treatment 2.5% PB?

Maybe CeraVe AM, Eltamd UV Clear, or Paula’s Choice. Eltamd and Paula’s Choice would be ideal for oily skin*, but the CeraVe AM can be picked up at your local drug store. If I could, I would get the Eltamd, there’s also a sport version if you’re going to be sweating a lot, or Paula’s Choice but I havent gotten around to purchasing them yet. The CeraVe AM works pretty well for me, I sort of have oily skin, but it can be a bit ‘greasy’ when you first put it on. It usually goes away after the first minute or so though. You can also try using blotting paper throughout the day or those brown paper towels, they work pretty well too.

^^*I’m ^^only ^^assuming ^^they ^^are ^^ideal ^^on ^^oily ^^skin, ^^based ^^on ^^reviews
