Yikes yikes yikes!! No!! Okay. Dental assistant here:
Never drink anything but PLAIN water with your trays in. No carbonated water, no coffee (temperature doesn’t matter), no tea (amoungst other drinks).
The reason this guideline exists is because ALL coffee is naturally acidic, so is tea, and especially cabonated drinks (all of them, including sparkling water). Any added sugar to it doesn’t help.
If your mouth pH is acidic vs. Alkaline, I also reccomend a pH balancing mouth rinse one or two times a day to prevent cavities (I myself have a very acidic mouth and have to use a special mouth rinse twice a day.)
Maybe add that into your invisalign routine, especially after brushing your teeth morning and night to keep those cavities at bay 🥰 and if you enjoy those acidic foods and want some additional protection from acid!

I am using pure xylitol powder, you cant get a higher concentration than that :p
Half a teaspoon will dissolve in saliva within seconds. It is also much cheaper than a mouthwash and it works very well for me.
This one contains 25 % Xylitol: http://www.amazon.com/CariFree-Rinse-Dentist-Recommended-Anti-Cavity/dp/B00QJ804H6
it is a bit pricey though.

This is the kind of wash our ortho gives out when starting treatment. They have citrus flavor as well. I like it!
