I did a fair bit of research for a place to put my bottles. Always used a kitchen cabinet while in apartments but I finally got a house with the space to expand.. but I also pretty cheap.
Did a LOT of thrift stores, reconsignment shops, ect… was never able to find something I liked that wasn’t $500+. Especially thinking about how my collection will be expanding. KEEP IN MIND HOW MUCH THE COLLECTION WILL EXPAND I feel like it’s easy to outgrow a small cabinet.
I ended up going with This one. It’s not the best construction, but it’s done me pretty well so far. I started out with ~4 cubes [9 bottles/cube] and i’m up to about 9 of the 12 cubes now. The remainder have records, pictures, candles… stuff the wife puts out 😛
Only real issues i’ve had with it, is 3 bottles are just too tall to fit, so they sit up top behind a plant now. Luxardo Maraschino is the most notable/common one that won’t fit. Also my Illegal Mezcal and Milagro Silver.
