In general, I’ve been using a Revereware copper bottom kettle, but that was mostly just nostalgia from growing up with one.
Just in the last week I got Brewista BSS12VTKNA Stout Spout electric kettle. From my limited use, it does a great job of bringing water up to temperature without going over. I’ll hear it go full power to get it within a few degrees, turn off and wait a moment measuring the temperature, turning back on for another degree or two, turn off, and repeat once or twice more until it’s at temperature. Also has a keep warm function which I haven’t really used yet, and a clock with auto-on that I haven’t used yet. Need to clear some proper counter space for where it’ll live permanently. Also has temperature pre-sets, or select your own either in F or C.
But I specifically wanted that auto-on so I could set it at night, and wake up in the morning with water all ready to go at the temperature I wanted. Lots of settings, and wasn’t nearly as expensive (~$250+) as some of the other ones.
