I’m going to try my first electric drippers. I realize that every unit requires refinement, but FWIW, I’m going to try a Braun MultiServe and a Zojirushi Zutto. I’m a French press brewer (no pour over/espresso) who prefers darker roasts & stronger brews, but want to explore some lighter ones, too. I have a C40 and tend to grind on the fine side for FP and start at 1:15. I brew with 14-16 ozs water. So, what are some suggestions for a starting point in terms of ratio and grind (preferably for the C40 or 1Zpresso JX-Pro), for light/dark beans for an electric dripper?
I noted that the Braun, like some other drippers, has adjustable brew levels: light, gold, and bold. I believe they adjust steep time and temp. Once I start out, I can play with them and see the difference. However, if anyone has thoughts on these features, any input will be welcome. Thanks!.
