What is the opinion of Reddit about the Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System

I was thinking about buying those speakers. This is the one that you have, correct? If so, how do you like them? Would you recommend them?

Bose are OK, but they get no love in the Audio community.

If you were to replace them, how much would you have to spend?

Also, does Bose guarantee their repair for $75. They might get it on the bench and say ..NO.. it is actually going to cost $300 to repair.
