I’m in the process of planning my first set up (bet it is the first time you all have hear that, right?). Here is my question (context is below): Will I need to upgrade from the U-turn Orbit’s built-in Pluto Preamp in the future if I upgrade my cartridge?

I’ve browsed all the starting guides and other materials linked in the subreddit and decided that the U-turn Orbit is probably the best option for me. It seems like a great turntable with just stock features but can also be improved with upgrades without needing a completely new table. Now, I already have these Bose speakers so I’m going to need a phono stage (I read somewhere that phono stage is what we should actually be calling a phono preamp…).

It is my understanding that upgrading the cartridge is what makes the largest difference in the sound. However, I’m not exactly sure I understand how much of a difference the phono stage makes in the sound quality. For example, will there be a noticeable difference between the ART Pro Audio DJPRE II and the Pluto Preamp by U-turn? I don’t see myself spending thousands on my setup in the future, but I can see myself upgrading cartridges (and platter) in the future. So I guess that brings me back to my original question:

TL;DR: Will I need to upgrade from the U-turn Orbit’s built-in Pluto Preamp in the future if I upgrade my cartridge?

Edit: formatting
Edit2: Thanks for the advice!

These speakers: https://www.amazon.com/Bose-Companion-multimedia-speaker-Graphite/dp/B000HZBR64

Connected to my PC and the Chromecast at the same time. That’s pretty much the extent of the setup. Chromecast is plugged into the wall via the provided usb cable and travel charger.

Well, since you asked: Glasses and Speakers. Now that I took a look, he speakers seem to be discontinued by Bose, but still in stock with many retailers. They also don’t really have an alternative at that price point.
