I got the Bodum 12oz Glass French Press. I only ever make coffee for myself so it’s perfect for making milk for one cup. Plus if you ever feel like making French press coffee it doubles as a coffee maker. I like the glass cylinder because I can take it out and heat the milk in the microwave with it, plus the transparency helps me see how the milk frothing is doing.

Yeah, bean to cup will run you like $450 basic, it is a lot. Glad she will do the grind and FP. If you want to get her more involved then go buy her a nice cup or a cute mini FP like this.
Also do look at the clever dripper, they are tasty and easy.

Bodum has a nifty 3-cup (12oz) French Press. Good enough for a healthy sized mug.
Regarding the Chemex, I’ve never had a chance to use the metal filters unfortunately, but I’ve heard good things about the Able Kone, pricey as it is.
