I read a lot of reviews that did before and after tests of air quality and this one was near the top for performance. I bought it from Amazon and there was an option to buy in monthly instalments of $77/month instead of $400 all at once. No interest by the way.

I got this years ago for chemical smells, but the reviews would always talk about how they helped during wildfires. They have smaller units, but based on your situation the big one might be working overtime.

Consumer Reports actually wrote about this in regards to the US. I was shocked that this was a real issue, and not another bogus health issue, but it apparently is.
Even in the US, while outdoor air is heavily regulated, not so inside the house. Because houses are designed differently today to maximize central heating and cooling, they don’t disperse air particles like they used to.
Consumer Reports recommend the “Blue” line of air filters.
This one will take care of about 400-500 square feet of room. You have to change the filter ever 6 months.

This is probably overkill for your needs, but I wanted help in clearing the air in my smoke area, but also my environment is also very dusty…so there’s a two-fer in play for me.

The only thing I’m not crazy about this unit is the removable and washable pre-filter sleeves look like they will be difficult to get looking clean and uniform, even after laundering.
It’s also whisper quiet on the lowest setting, yet still does a good job lifting the dust out of the air. Where I used to need to dust my blinds and desktops a couple times a week, now once a week is sufficient.

Ooooh we have this in the main room bc I have allergies to dogs and dust, dust mites etc. It has 3 strengths. It helps so much. I also have one at work.
If you have central air, def get some allergy rated air filters!

- Ventilation is important. Fresh air is better than stale air. Either in winter OR summer when I cook, I open my window and put my fan on exhaust mode. That means in summer the cool air escapes, and in winter the hot air escapes… that’s ok, that just means I have to deal with that for an hour or so.

This is the one I have. Make sure it’s turned on when you cook (or after you cook, however you want to do it). It will absolutely suck up the smells.

Hey, I have Blueair Pure 211+, that’s #2 on the old CR rating list, just plugged into the smart plug.
I’ve preferred spending money on nice air quality meter, rather than wi-fi in the purifier.
