It honestly depends on your personal preference. If I had the choice, I would go with the former. I like the clean and low-maintenance bagged setup of it along with the better cleaning performance, but I know a lot of people like the versatility of the CrossOver with how it converts into a canister. Both are good options, though.

I apologize for not understanding your situation with cleaning your car, but that does make sense. I just figured that your apartment complex would have outlets near the lot. I am not as knowledgable on car vacuums and dust-buster type machines, but I have a friend who got this thing and he said it does the job. On top of that, it’s super cheap.

Does anyone by chance have experience with this Black & Decker auto vacuum? I’m looking for something I can use when I’m out & about away (and away from power) for maintenance. Im thinking this would be better than most rechargeable cordless options…?

As long as you’re keeping your expectations low, this might be one that I’d take a chance on:

My little black and decker battery operated one is still chugging after 4 years (?) and it comes with a rubbery pet attachment (but also good for taking out any type of hair, or things that stick to fabrics like plant seeds, etc). There is also has a 12 volt corded one version as well.

Just an example, it sells with various attachments. The stick part is new to me. https://www.walmart.com/ip/BLACK-DECKER-20V-MAX-Lithium-FLEX-Hand-Vacuum-BDH2020FL/48687816

12 volt version – cheaper too: https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-BDH1200FVAV-Automotive-Vacuum/dp/B014UZ00YQ/

Something like this works as a vacuum: https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-BDH1200FVAV-Automotive-Vacuum/dp/B014UZ00YQ. You can charge at your home and then use in your car. I usually just wipe the interior panels with a slightly damp cloth.
