Hi guys, I’m about to buy the Beyerdynamic Custom Street but I’m not very comfortable with the leather pads. I have not found much info if they can be replaced by velvet ones or whatever and if they are easy to change.
Link to the headphones https://www.amazon.es/Beyerdynamic-Custom-Street-Auriculares-color/dp/B00UK7ZQXO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1523272299&sr=1-1&keywords=custom+street+beyerdynamic
If someone knows about compatible pads it would be great.
Thank you very much for the help.

You can always up your budget if you want superior build quality. I gifted the DTX350 to some freinds before and they also said it lasts about a year when heavily used. If you use headphone often and “roughly” get something with better build.
Check out the Beyerdynamic Custom One Street

Strange, in my country the beyerdynamic custom street is 60€ : https://www.amazon.fr/Beyerdynamic-Custom-Street-Casque-Noir/dp/B00UK7ZQXO
If you want to buy it you should definitely try to buy it from Amazon France if they say that this headphone free-ship to US.
Edit : likewise the M40X is 98€ : https://www.amazon.fr/Audio-Technica-ATH-M40X-Casque-professionnel-d%C3%A9tachable/dp/B00HVLUR54

> I heard it’s quiet on android. Is that true and if yes, is it too quiet?
That has nothing to with “Android”, it depends on the output power of your specific phone. The Y50 should be easily powered by any mid-tier quality phone with more than 0,5VRMS:
- Speaker Sensitivity 115 dB SPL/V
- Speaker Nominal Impedance 32 ohms
> Is it suitable for music like Drum ‘n’ Bass, Dubstep, Hardstyle etc.?
I’d pick the Beyerdynamic Custom Street or V-Moda XS for that kind of music.
