For very tight spaces like these, you unfortunately don’t have the luxury of expanding horizontally, so your only choice is to go vertically. I don’t know your particular situation or how handy you are, but the one design choice coming to mind right now is either making or buying a loft-style bed for your room.

These bed setups will allow you ample space below to house an even larger desk/computer setup and give you more breathing room overall. These are a popular choice among tiny home owners and can look incredible if done well.

If you are not as handy, there are still ready-made options available. Here is just a basic offering from IKEA:

It’s also a full-size bed like yours. There are so many loft-style beds at different price points, so really your only obstacle is your budget (and ceiling height!).

Of course, this is only one of many other things you can do. Foldable ‘Murphy Beds’ are another popular choice with tiny home owners. These are beds that fold into a vertical furniture piece so that they only take up space when you need them. This is great if you prefer a more traditional bed setup with limited space. The only downside is you’ll need to move things around your room to make space for the bed once you do need it. Some Murphy Bed designs even have built-in desk options when folded.

These are just two random examples I found:

Much like loft-style beds, price points for Murphy beds vary but usually fall on the pricier side of things due to their construction.

Tiny spaces make real estate precious, so whatever your choice, make wise decisions about how you use your available space. If your closet has sliding doors, another solution is to convert it into a desk area instead. Make good use of your walls for storage if needed. Having a smaller space doesn’t mean you don’t get to have a nice room. It just means you have to get a little more creative on how you do things and think twice about everything that takes up space in your room.

Anyway, I hope that helps you a little, or at least inspires some ideas in you. Good luck with your room!
