You’re very welcome. Before you go, I forgot to mention that I’ve heard the Ausdom 05 is a rebranded Mee Matrix 2 with a smaller battery (and hence a little less battery life) but should be more than sufficient for the gym and a few other things.

Budget: Around $70 ish

Source: Desktop PC motherboard

Isolation: Wife will be watching Netflix in the same room

Preferred Type: Over ear. No buds, IEMs or On ear

Tonal Balance: Don’t know. I’d prefer neutral I think and then adjust balance at the source if I wanted more bass or highs… I’m new at this so not 100% certain

Past Headphones: $5 throwaway IEMs

Preferred Music: Mostly gaming and movies, with very occasional classical, rock, or rap.

A friend recommended the Ausdom M05 that he owns. Marketed as Bluetooth but they can be used wired. He says they sound great especially for the money, but I don’t know how picky he is about sound quality. I don’t need wireless but it might be nice to have the option to unplug and get walk around with them still on. Any input on them or something better in the same price range would be great.

The Ausdom M05 is the same unit as the Meelectronics AF62, which is arguably the best Bluetooth headphone by sound quality. Honestly, it’s the only Bluetooth design I’d recommend.
