What is the opinion of Reddit about the
Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Closed Back Dynamic Headphones Bundle with Antlion Audio ModMic 4 with Mute Switch, USB Audio Adapter, and Y Splitter for Audio, Mic?

I personally use some nice audiophile grade headphones and slap a modmic on them. Then I use my motherboards equalizer to change the sound profile to mimic that of a tin can sounding gaming headset. That way you get the best of both worlds. You can have proper settings for gaming, but if you want to use the headphones for literally anything else then you just turn off the EQ and it sounds 100 times better than a shitty gaming headset.

Hmm, I just bought this since I needed a mic. I was debating back and forth between the M40x and M50x. Wasn’t sure on sound but I understand that the M40x is more neutral, which is something I may prefer. Seems maybe I could purchase this and get the modmic separate.
