I have a (cheap-ass) setup where I use disposable earplugs and I crammed some over-ear headphones (these) into my helmet. It’s not perfect (the comfort of the headphones would be much better if I could get them to sit about 2mm lower), but it’s working well enough for me to figure out if I want a long-term, permanent setup.
I can hear the music well enough. It’s more like a radio playing in the room than it is headphones, but I think that’s good because it’s not drowning out the sounds I need and want to hear.

I don’t know if I have aspergers or not, but if I do I certainly don’t experience any sensory issues, so tactile sensitivity is not a factor for me.
I like these headphones a lot: https://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-EQ300M-SV-Ear-Fit-Headphones/dp/B001DDEJLE
Light and portable so I don’t feel weird about using them at school, and I can easily hear through them so I don’t have to leave just one on during conversations or anything. They start to hurt my ears if I wear them for a few hours, but that’s rarely an issue. Only problem is the plastic piece that holds it to your ear breaks pretty easily, especially if the wire gets caught on something and pulls them off your ears or something.

Would she want clip-ons? Audio Technica EW9 is good, if not a bit expensive.
Alternatively, these look good, but I’m not sure about the sound.

Bit of good news for you, OP. supposedly, Audio Technica is re-releasing the old headphones (ATH-EM7X) sometime this year (last I heard) that P3’s MC was wearing. Until then, there’s always these by the same company. Dunno how much I’d trust $15 headphones tbh.
As for Rise’s headphones, they kinda remind me of Skullcandy’s Hesh headphones. Back in the day before their products started to look like new wave shit. Their Hesh2 series isn’t bad, but you can get them in black only, if memory serves.
Edit: iDance Hipster headphones look very close to Rise’s & come in pink, however I was only able to find one review, and they suuuuuuuuck

These are what I use. I’ve had them for about 6 months and the worst thing that’s happened is the ear piece breaks off, but it snaps back in very easily. If you are a side sleeper these will likely not work for you because they are super uncomfortable for me when trying to sleep on my side.
They are extremely thin and light but aren’t super comfortable. But hey, $12 headphones.

Those are AudioTechnica headphones, and they’re like $12! The sound quality is pretty good, about as good or better than standard Apple earbuds.

Edit: wow, didn’t expect this much attention haha. A lot of people are asking what headphones I own so here’s the link to it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DDEJLE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_cCYaGbFAR0G9P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah, they’re extremely fragile. I’ve had 4 or 5 die the exact same way, and it’s wild because I treat them well and have had Porta Pros and Sporta Pros last much longer.
Sony used to make a decent clip on with a retractable cable; it doesn’t sound quite as good as a KSC75, but it was slightly sturdier in the short term. The downside is they used a different type of rubber for the ear clips and that actually degrades pretty fast; mine lasted about 2 years. Panasonic and Phillips both make ultra cheap clip ons, but I get the sense they’re going to sound horrible. Audio Technica used to make quite a few of these models too, and I believe you can still find them as imports from Japan. I honestly doubt they sound better than KSC75’s because almost nothing does, but they’re probably better built.
Oh, they do still sell them. I think they used to have some slightly higher end lines too, so if you’re committed to the form factor, maybe seek those out. https://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-EQ300M-SV-Ear-Fit-Headphones/dp/B001DDEJLE/ref=sr_1_4?crid=IGJF2ELCHZOT&dchild=1&keywords=audio+technica+clip+on+headphones&qid=1596048681&sprefix=audio+technica+clip+on%2Caps%2C224&sr=8-4

Audio-Technica stopped making Makoto’s headphones years ago, but this is a later and much cheaper version of them. I used them for a while and thought they were pretty good, until I dropped them down a flight of stairs and broke one of them. I’d still recommend them though, or these Koss ones alongside these ear pads if you just like clip on headphones.
