I did forget one thing – I will be doing fairly basic audio work with this build as well. Would it be better to do another motherboard like the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z97X-Gaming 5, ASRock Z97 Anniversary LGA 1150, or stick with the Asus Z170? From what I hear, the two linked here supposedly having higher end sound reproduction, although that may not matter if I go with something like the Arcam rPAC or a dedicated sound card like the Asus Xonar Essence STX. I generally use mid-to-high end cans, but do most of my mixing on speakers, and audio quality is important from a gaming immersion perspective as well as an audio production standpoint.

Edited to provide links to the sound card/DAC. Also looking at the AMD FX-8350 Black Edition since it seems to offer the same general specs but for much less cost (correct me if I’m wrong).
